Venini

Hello,
anyone know if this would be a venini?
I have another one in light blue which is acid etched on the bottom but it is bigger.
The colour in the pic didn't come out very well, it is quite a deep, velvety, blood red. It is really lovely, I think it feels nicer to hold than the other blue one but that may be down to the size, this one really does fit in your palm.
Any clues on it's identity would be very welcome, I am sure I read about very early pieces not being etched, but then read else where that the etchings had sometimes been ground off! The base looks good to me though.

Cheers for looking

Lou

Purely going on the picture of the base, I would say it's not Venini, nor have I come across a fazoletto in this very bright red made by them, but just a personal opinion.

Thanks Chuggy,
The colour didn't come out well in the pic, it is really a deep blood red (quite similar to the lid of a sarsons vinegar bottle!). The base puzzles me too. The venini I have has a ground out pontil but this looks as if it has just been polished. The quality of the finish is on par with (if not better) Than the blue one though!

Hmmmm....................the search coninues!!!

I concur, not Venini.  In my strictly unprofessional opinion, looks like recent production and not vintage.
