Red, orange and yellow vase, Jan Gabrhel?
« on: October 10, 2011, 11:38:24 PM »
A lovely vase with optic ribbing, heat struck colouring, 26cm tall, moulded base, cut and polished rim but is it by Jan Gabrhel?

Similar coloured vases but without the optic ribbing at the  Hi Sklo Lo Sklo exhibition

 :hi: Hi John,
Not terribly helpful, but there is an ad for Gabrhel's orange and yellow pieces in the 1963/8 CGR.

Thank you Anik, that is very helpful, it confirms that the vase in Dusan's album is Jan Gabrhel and made at Chlum u Trebone. The similarities between the two vases (optic ribbing, colour, etc.) are quite distinct and so I have little doubt but it would still be nice to find confirmation.

Not sure how I missed that advert when I looked through CGR last night... :-[
