Archimide Seguso glass pear
« on: September 22, 2011, 05:27:04 AM »
hi all, I was given one of these that was badly cracked and chipped, we use it as a ladle holder beside the stove. It has taken me a few years to find another one in good condition and, isn't there always something not quite right? It is not a colour I was looking for. I grabbed it anyway as I have had the other one for 4 years and I haven't been able to get my hands on another.

Anyway it is in the collection and I am delighted to have it. 8 1/2" (21.5cm) long, perfect condition no labels unfortunately.

Beautiful, Ardy! :rah:  Is cranberry not your color?  I picked up two pieces over the weekend at an estate sale and both are cranberry colored.  My pieces are certainly not Seguso.  I hope you enjoy your new piece.  Personally, I like the cranberry colored glass.

Thanks Tami - don't know what it is but a lot of the glass I am interested in is either pink or red. The blues and gold go for more money or don't come up at all.

Seems like we do not like to live in a red world at the moment.
