Topic: Is this Murano? Is it Cenedese? Poli?

This one has really stumped me, it is very heavey, 3 1/2" tall beautifully done and it looks like is have been rolled in pieces of glass.  I have never seen this before. Did they cut the sides and bottom and if so with what?   Does anybody know who made it? TIA

Your pictures are working for me.

I can't help you with the identification of the maker except to say that it appears that the pieces is rolled in frit (crushed glass particles) while hot and then cut back into facets.  A very interesting combination of techniques.

Connie- It is rolled in glass which some might call overshot but I thought overshot was done only on crackle glass. It really is a beautiful piece, maybe someone else will come along and know who made it. Thanks for your help.

I think this is a newer piece.
I've seen large bowl, and vases with the same technique before.
Unsure of what glass house is making them, but do think they are newer.

A while back I also asked an ebay seller about a similiar piece and was told they came from China. I have also held such a piece although didn't buy it, must say the quality is good and they really are fascinating. Terry

Thank you everybody for the help, I almost gave up but you all pulled through. I tried searcing ebay but I had no luck. I think it is new also but it is a very nice piece of glass. Thanks again for the help. Great board so helpful and such nice people!
