Info needed on Czech glass
« on: April 19, 2012, 06:59:58 AM »
Hello everyone, I am delighted to come across this forum and can't wait to get started searching the posts.
I have the following pieces of glass, I know they are Czech but apart from that nothing else, date, worth, maker etc..

All pieces are unmarked and I would dearly love to find out more about them, for they have given me much pleasure over the years, If anyone could shed some light on them, that would be much appreciated!.

I have put some links to images below.

The crystal glass vases are 25cms,  the studio glass vases are 25cms.

Regards,

Jimmy.

Hi Jimmy
Welcome to the board  :)
The vases appear to have labels on, so a close up shot of the labels would be good.  And it would also be good to have a clear shot of the base of the vases please.
Also uploading them directly to the board would be preferred if you can,.  Otherwise in time the image gets lost and the information and help given on the thread becomes redundant.
I'm sure someone will be along within a very short space of time, who will be able to identify the pieces.
thanks
m

your coloured vases have a Beranek label, which is good.
The cut ones say Cesky Crystal?
Your figurines have a label which we need to see.

Hi, thanks for the replys, Yes the coloured one labels say Beranek, The figures labels just say Czech handmade , and the crystal vases labels say Bohemia - made in czechoslovakia 24% pbo, the right vase is marked on the bottom Bohemia, I will try to get more photos uploaded of the bases later but as far as i can tell i think they are moulded?.

Many Thanks,

Jimmy.

I know! BoBA told me.

The Beranek vases are designed by Ales Valner. He joined Beranek around '92.
