Thanks to all for the photographs, and thanks to Jindrich for the article. He summed the experience up very well. I felt much the same, even as a non-Czech. The Fair was like a living book on glass, as the quality of the glass was high, the attributions spot on for virtually all the pieces (not something I'm used in Canada), and yet the prices were reasonable. The biggest thrill for me was meeting Jindrich and Robert and listening to them talk about Czech glass. They are as they seem to be on the GMB:  absolutely outstanding people. A real privilege.

Thank you Jindrich,  you have touched me with your beautiful, sensitively written article.....I admit, I was moved to tears reading it,  and it was, in some small way, compensation for being unable to attend this fair.
boBa,  thank you for your taking the time and trouble to translate so that we could all join in Jindrich's joy.

I do hope I will be able to come to the Birmingham fair......and if so,  will try to seek you both out to shake hands and say hello.

That's what I love about Jindra... not only is he emotional and passionate about Czech glass, but he offers his expertise with great heart.  We Czech glass collectors are extremely fortunate because of that.
