Dear friends,
happy J had a great day on Friday again.
I have been invited to opening of exhibition of Czechoslovakian glass designer from 1968 living in Sweden Mr. Milan Vobruba. (he escape affter Russian invasion to our poor country).
Very great event was opened by Swedish ambasodor in Czech republic, the best Czech violin viruoso Maestro Jaroslav Sveceny kindly play his two author's pieces, many Czech glass designers came to shake hand with Milan and exhibition itself is simply lovely.

Also Voruba s book was introduced, it can be purchased from Jablonec museum shop. The book is in English and Czech.

Much appreciated, Jindrich -- thank you for sharing!
I haven't heard of Milan Vobruba before, so it is a pleasure to see his work... some of it seems to have been inspired by First Nations / Native art which I find beautiful.  I also enjoyed the slightly vulgar sculpture, but don't tell anyone. :)

Thanks, Jindrich, for sharing another excellent artist with us.  Does he use enamels to paint and/or graal?  Hard to maek out the technique is some of the pieces. All very impressive.
