Every time I look at this I see something different is it a map? is it a bird with those feet ? a political slogan perhaps Social democratic party? SDP telecom maybe?

In my haste I missed your mention of Statoil, it does look like their logo and they do operate pipelines in the area but no bird legs apparently...

You could contact Hadeland and ask them: http://hadeland-glassverk.no/english/index.php?option=com_performs&formid=1&Itemid=74

(Don't mention bird legs).

It seems SDP is Statoil Diesel Protection - a technique they are rather proud of.

I would suggest the "Legs" are underwater pipelines and the Blobs on the "legs" are production wells.  That said a 90 degree rotattion anti-clockwise does make it look rather like a headless chook!

I'm not sure about SDP being Statoil Diesel Protection in this case, because I'm pretty sure those are gas pipelines going into Kårstø, where they don't seem to make diesel, thiugh they do produce some hydrocarbon liquids.

Statoil Diesel Protection seems to be something mostly sold in Poland
