ALLAN SCOTT Queen Mother's favourite flowers
« on: October 09, 2011, 02:40:17 PM »
Hi All

I would just like to share with you the paperweight I have recently purchased.

It was issued to celebrate the Queen Mum's 95th Year, exclusively produced for Peter Jones China
and designed by Allan Scott. My certificate shows the edition size of 95 of which mine is the 95th.

The bouquet contains freesias, primroses, sweet peas and pansies. The bottom is hand etched ‘The Queen Mother’s favourite flowers Caithness Scotland 95/95'

I have looked on the internet and can’t find any reference to this paperweight. I guess the Certificate says it all
except how beautiful it is!

There is the tiniest, wee nick in the top at about 11 o’clock which I am sure can easily be polished out.

I will be honest and say that I intend to sell this on Ebay but I will love it every day until it leaves me. I have made a promise to myself that once our mortgage is paid off (5 yrs to go out of 30) I will buy to keep – Happy days!!
