IEA... ILN... all these strange P PG numbers seem off topic and reading back through I cannot seem to follow... something :)

Hi frank

Sorry if we got you confused. Tony bought a Whitefriars weight with the initials ILN in the centre

ILN is illustrated London news.

I confused matters by telling him I had found a cane for my collection with I E A in it but I meant to say ILN . Alan added his comments referring to the initials I E A found in Ysart weights.

I am sure you are now even more confused. I should go to confused . Com and they will sort it out.

Roy

Hi everybody,

I thought that I should 'resurrect' this thread.

See below my 'buy of the week.' I am soooo pleased.

I love Allan Scott's work.

'Life's a beach' indeed.

Hi Mark,

I enjoyed looking at the Allan Scott 'Floral bouquet' that you show in your photobucket too. A real gem...

Very nice addition Alan.  Like the Allan Scott piece very much as well.  I got my start in collecting sulphides from the Midwest (US) and have always liked "creatures" in weights.

Hi Don

It is an antique Bohemian from the Josephinenhütte (circa 1845), with Prussian Eagle silhouette and others.

it's lovely - I only guessed it right because I'd not long been looking at a document on those.
