A very pleasant surprise. The design on each tray, dish and bowl still captures my imagination with its contemporary feel.

That's lovely Keith,  is it Chance Glass perchance? I've never seen this sort of pattern and it is lovely....and what a beautiful way to display it.
Can you tell me who made it and what the pattern set is called please, as I don't know a great deal about glass plates and tableware.....being an animal collector.  Although having seen the Afors glass, I think I might be getting hooked on other pieces!!  :usd:

c'mon Rosie  -  you obviously haven't been following the script ;D  -  this is one of Keith's big things  -  although must admit he does manage to work the factory name in somewhere, usually ;D

Tsk.  I've never even seen one of these in real life, let alone buy one for 50p!   Grrr!   ;)

I'm not being serious Rosie :hi:   I smile often - people seem to make more puns using this factory name than any other.       Personally, I wouldn't take that sort of chance. ;)
But their output was one of those factories that I gave up when I had to streamline my collecting  -  I must have seen thousands of other patterns over just a few years - although like others here, this was one I never did see.     But I did find five Historic Balloons dishes (which now lay unseen in the shed. ::)

Thanks all,
Rosie; All the puns re Chance glass have been done, designed in 1958 by Lady Casson, very rare, might have been 'made' by my Grandpa or his brother,I never found out what they did there ::) ;D ;D,my second piece by the way :o
