As for the mark, one website I found had the date for the mark as before 1900. I dunno, I couldn't find any other info to corroborate that. The mark on those little bowls was in the center inside the bowl. Also, the bottoms were ground and polished. In my
very limited experience, that generally leads one to conclude it's old, handfinished and/or quality. It was that and silverplate that made me pick it up and take it home.
MrVG - I thought ruby would have been nice too. Had it been vaseline, I'm not sure I would have listed it at all!
