Good one Anne.  I've sent the acetrust an email with a link to the relevant Scotland's Glass page.

Brilliant, thanks Nancy. I've emailed them too and the War Memorials folks, better that they get it more than once and realise folks are worried methinks. :)  Can we find anyone else to ask to help?

I agree Anne, absolutely no harm in more than one person alerting interested organisations.  I've come across another here http://www.scottishmilitaryresearch.co.uk/ .  In their War Memorials Project area there has been discussion about Douglas Strachan here http://warmemscot.s4.bizhat.com/warmemscot-ftopic2738.html  but nothing regarding the current threat.  Will email them too.

Received a reply from the War Memorials Trust.  They are aware and appealed against the application.
