Topic: Clichy paperweight condition

What does anyone else think of this Clichy paperweight?  I see a tilted colour ground, set very high in the dome; an over-large wear rim that seems to be oval; and at 2 inch diameter, an extremely small example of a colour ground. To me, that all points to significant repolishing in the past. Shame, as it would have been a nice weight when it left the factory.

But the repolish at least didn't cut into the edge of the blue ground and leave the tell-tale white line (at least as far as I can see). Which would mean that the ground was small to begin with and therefore most of the repolishing was probably on the top of the weight.

  I see a beautiful paperweight which has now been reduced (pun intended) to a reference weight for canes and colour only. Must have had significant damage to the top to warrant that much restoration. Half normal price would be plenty. Regards Roger.
