Topic: Monart post war variant OJ shape ?

Are these Monart vases a post war variant shape OJ (minus applied foot).

Variants are mostly ID'd by labels. Are you sure these are Monart and what is size and what are bases like?

These vase are 11.5cm tall and the pontil is polished flat. I have seen and handled numerous vase in this shape, the smaller ones where usually had the base polished flat and the larger ones had the normal post war pontil finish. To date I have not seen one with a label.
This is one other vase in the colour code 234.

I would be inclined to add these to the 'L' page as NL if no-one objects. They cannot be a variant as variants have to be labelled examples to prove the case and without a foot it really is a new shape. If you could e-mail the pics, I will add something straight away to Ysartglass and in due course to Scotland's glass as I continue the migration... one day  :ac1:

I have a very similar OJ post-war Monart, here's a pic of mine, no label.   When I originally purchased it from a reputable auction house in Perth, the owner, also a collector, told me there were 2 versions of the OJ with and without a foot!!!!!

I spent a most interesting afternoon at Perth museum viewing the museums collection of Monart not on show. Being able to handle some of the best pieces of Monart that I have seen was something else.
Among the many pictures I took were these two. This proves that the shape without the applied foot is a variant  of the applied footed one OJ.
