Interesting Eugenie, the set in your link is a Sowerby 2697 Set shown here in List 39.

The cologne bottles certainly appear to match the Sowerby set stylistically, and do look like a possible match for Christine's bottles in the opening post.

It's interesting that the bottles turn up with Walther and Sowerby sets...

Yes Christine, I guess people are matching the uranium colour in both? The Ebay link has supersize images when you scroll down, you can get a really good look at the bottles. Are they the same as yours?

They have been seen in pink with Walther sets too, not just uranium. Those ones look much more green than mine, which is more typical of Walther. Walther had two shades of green uranium; the slightly more common yellowish shade http://lustrousstone.co.uk/cpg/displayimage.php?pid=1391 and a more greenish shade http://lustrousstone.co.uk/cpg/displayimage.php?pid=486. Sowerby is generally a yellowish green uranium shade, which my bottles don't quite match; they are closer to Walther. I wonder if the 2697 really was manufactured by Sowerby  or just marketed by them, as that might explain the discontinued. I was never totally convinced by the colour of 2697 bits I had (http://lustrousstone.co.uk/cpg/displayimage.php?pid=355) and gave to Anne. In addition, they require bottle making equipment, which Walther had and I don't think Sowerby did. Finally, they have a mirror-polished base finish (typical of Inwald!!) and Sowerby's finishing is notoriously not the best.

I wondered if that would also explain the discrepancy between the catalogue image of the tray and the trays that we see, and then realised I have a reference photo of the catalogue style one but I have no idea who it belongs to!  :-\

See catalogue image here showing different tray pattern:
http://www.20thcenturyglass.com/glass_encyclopedia/glass_catalogues/sowerbyglass_catalogues/sowerbyglass_catalogue_list39-12.htm

We also see two types of pots with this set - some with finials and some without, so it's either a mix and match set or different makers using moulds from the same source?

It's interesting that this set is only seen in the one catalogue list 39 hand-dated 1950s...

Here is the ‘Sowerby 2697 variant?’ tray in clear glass, to go with Eugénie’s ringholder.
(Permission for the re-use of the image on GMB granted by bazza131313).

In addition, here is a part-set in peachy-pink glass (with ringholder), to add to the colourways, and dovetailing in with Christine’s statement

They have been seen in pink with Walther sets too…
(Permission for the re-use of the image on GMB granted by Simone Newstead).

BTW, I have messaged the seller of the set from the eBay link in Eugénie’s reply #9 requesting permission to add some of the images to this thread as permanent references, and I hope to be able to post them in due course.

Fred.

Isn't it just, Christine? It's more reminiscent of the colour of the mystery set #6 pots and of my Bagley Filey set...
