Hi guys,

Is anyone able to provide info on this unusual pressed uranium glass bowl with all-over iridescence/lustre please? I literally have no idea of its origin. Here's some pics - I hope its of interest to some of you.

Cheers, Charlene

P.S. Its 8.5'' in diameter and weighs 0.8kg

Can't help with attribution but looks as though it's part of a centrepiece and should go on a stand (fine without though).

Made by Fenton Art Glass (Williamstown, West Virginia, USA) in the 1920s, this bowl shape is described as "flared [and] cupped" in catalogs because of the techniques used to finish it. The H. Northwood Co. made similar shapes, but this one looks like the Fenton version. These typically came with a separate black base.

Thanks too to Christine for your polite prompt about this. And thanks for your friendly replies on all things uranium (or not). Much appreciated.
