ALT = ALT !!

See http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,20574.msg116506.html#msg116506

And (also referenced in that earlier message):
http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,18355.msg106221.html#msg106221

Various Google results suggest that the ALT company may have started making paperweights in the 1950s/60s ... can anyone be more specific?

Kevin: thank you for the info and the links; they were useful  :hiclp:
I do remember seeing a thread about this now, I'd forgotten completely. I would never have found what I needed because I was reading the signature as AH - although looking now it's obvious it's ALT.
