I'd like to offer you an alternative, it's not strictly a table lamp, it's a converted plaffonnier. It's 48 cms across and the weight must have caused one of the chain holes to crack. I bought it at Christies as it is now, the single Monart auction owner who sold her collection being French. For those of you who remember this auction will no doubt remember the hight reserve prices being asked for less than perfect pieces.
The plaffonnier was married together with a Monart vase and she must have had the brass fitment made. To cut what could be a long story, here's some photos - now I think this is beautiful, but what do you think?
