Stands about 8" high on a marble base.
Does anyone know where it may have been made? Or who may have made it?
Thanks for any comments in advance.

hmmm, thanks for the link.
I see where you are pointing but I think not the same. Dunc's bases seem to be made of glass. Mine is marble which is a little unexpected (for me at least).

Attribution confired from Glenda at Pier Glass Studio, Eastborne:

"Yes I can confirm this is one of our models probably made in the late 1980's as we previously mounted them on marble.Thank you for your interest .

Lovely to get a definite id and see some more examples of current glassworks  :)  And nice reply from them.

Hi scavo,  your glass birds are gorgeous.....and I am so pleased you showed them here and got an attribution.

Looking closely at Duncan Smith's bases,  I think some of them may well be Agate slices (coloured).
I like this combination as, like your marble base it is a natural crystal formation which for me, sits well with glass and crystal sculptures.

Lovely....do you have any others to show and share with us?  I would really love to see them.
Rosie.

When all's said and done, there's nothing left to say or do.  Roger McGough.

No, I don't have any more. It would be great if other collectors could find this and post theirs though.

I have sent Glenda at Pier Glass Studio the link to this thread.

It would now be great if a Mod could move this to British and Irish glass.
