Iittala contemporary pressed conical candleholders
« on: November 27, 2011, 11:53:39 AM »
I can't track down these candleholders anywhere - seems they might be too new for the Iittala 125 book, but too old for the current catalogue. Also can't spot them on Designlasi.

Small pair of candleholders in the shape of two connected cones, made of pressed glass. They bear newer rectangular labels, and are impressed 'Iittala' to the base.

Thanks for looking.

Kaj Franck design from the 1950s, "Kartio" range.

Originally made by Nuutajärvi (those don't have the impressed mark), Iittala produced them from the 1990s onwards.

Oh, excellent! I thought they looked like Kartio but forgot that Iittala unified their branding with Nuutajärvi and so didn't follow it up.

Thank you very much.  :)

Nic, you're welcome! :)

I do like this design a lot -- I have a whole collection of them (mostly from Nuutajärvi production).
