swan and snail paperweight why
« on: December 13, 2011, 11:31:13 AM »
just wondering if there is a reason why someone would put a swan and a snail on the same paperweight. is there a story out there like the tortoise and the hare the ugly duckling and so on.

there is always someone worse off .

I'm waiting for the swan to gobble up the snail.  :help: But that is a mighty big snail. Either that or a mighty small swan. Maybe it was made for kids to teach them the "s" sound. Just kidding here.

it looks to have some age but i have tried there to look to see if there are snails like this on there own. there is one i have found from pilgrim glass but not exact . then the swan has the head similar to a whitfriars swan. and the base looks like something Scandinavian im lost. it could be anyones. i just thought if there was a local story out there it might pinpoint a place.
