It might be Mtarfa rather than Mdina, but if it's Mdina, I don't think it's early

It's Mtarfa, definitely.

Early for Mtarfa.

Mtarfa Glass was set up by Paul Said. 1981, I believe.
He and his brother Joseph were two of Michael Harris' first apprentices at Mdina. Joseph now runs Mdina.
It's all part of Michael Harris' legacy!

i have been looking at a few mdina and mtarfa glass the last few days. i have come to the conclusion that mtarfa have few more imaginary pieces and mdina stick to the same tried and tested pieces.

Both Mtarfa and Phoenician are currently seriously under-rated.
Phoenician is another works coming from the Harris "stable" - set up by Leonard Mulligan - who was also one of Michael's partners when he set up Gozo glass later.
