Hi Gareth,
an interesting point! Indeed there are no lamps in the Ikora book now you mention it and to my regret I
don´t have an explanation. A theory: possibly they were shaped from the same moulds as the vases?
At least in this case
example on Kilian´s site
we can see a strong resemblance to the 1936 vase on page 151 of the book.
Beyond that I have to commit I´m rather clueless...  :ac1:

There was a book published by Arnoldsche called WMF Ikora-Beleuchtungskoerper der WMF in 2006 ISBN 3897901927. It can be found on amazon.de but not on the Arnoldsche publisher's web site. Maybe it is out of print.

Hi Anton,
thanks for the info! I did some googling and now I wonder if the book was really published at all. Maybe they were
just meaning to publish it but never did? All I could find were announcements and a picture of the book cover - not
a single copy around, a review or anything else...  ???

Hi Dirk,

You are correct. The book wasn't published. I wrote to Arnoldsche Art Publishers and got this reply:

Quote
The third book of the WMF book series isn’t published. We have published the first two volumes – WMF Ikora & Myra Glass and WMF Ikora Metall. Unfortunately the third books was a proposal. We are sorry to give you no better news.

With best regards

Maybe if enough people contact Arnoldsche they might reconsider publishing the Ikora lamp book.

Many thanks for the updates....... and a real shame as these are popular and collectible items ....and deserving to be recognised.
