I got outbid on this vase...maybe someone else on here was lucky enough to get it... I thought it was rather stunning and had no idea of the maker...anyone know the label?

Hessenglas, probably a design of Gangkofner.

And if I´d seen that auction I would possibly have been the one to outbid you...  ;D
It´s a lovely piece and quite rare. There are two similar vases in my album, which additionally to
the blue have some green inclusions. Funny side note: I bought one of them off ebay with the
following description: glass vase with cast in moss.  :24:

Ah well I feel better now I'm in good company :)

Rosie, I wasn't that worried, I really liked it but its not really what I collect. I thought if I get it I may be able to trade with someone for something else or that a collector who appreciates it will win it. I just had a feeling it was a bit 'special'.

Ross I frequently miss out on glass because it finishes while Im at work and I just cant get to my phone or my 3G drops out :/ I won another that I was really happy to get... so it all evens out in the end I guess.

Dirk...quite rare? Should have bid a bit higher shouldnt' I LOL

The one vase I had my eye on sold for over $1800 Au but isnt that the way of ebay....
