Liam Carey - Merlin Glass and formerly of Liskeard Glass
« on: January 29, 2012, 12:40:32 PM »
I thought I'd post a link to this interesting blog which has information from Liam Carey on it.
I like his work. According to the 'interview' on the blog, Liam started working at Liskeard Glass when he was 16 and at 21 had the opportunity to take over the glassworks, which he did, renaming it Merlin Glass.  It is still based in Liskeard Cornwall.  He makes gorgeous glass doorknobs and glass vases - I think his work is beautifully crafted.
I particularly love the first vase that comes up on the blog.

thanks m.......and must admit I didn't know about the name change.      Only ever seen one piece of Liskeard (with a label) on my travels - hopefully the door knobs will be a big success.       Particularly like the Love Handles :)
