Lampwork Figure

Does anyone have any idea who might have made this lovely little dancing lady?  She's just 4" tall (10cm) and ... erm ... perfectly formed  ;)  ;D

Well, it's one of the names that went through my head, but I'm just guessing here.  I wondered if anyone who had more definite knowledge about this sort of thing might know, rather than guess.  Or is it one of those cases of "could be this, could be that"?

An idea of her age would be nice, too.

Thanks, Ivo  :)

Leni, have you looked at the ZBS catalogues?  I wonder if she is in there maybe? I'll try and find you a link to one.
I do know that I was looking up some Lampl pieces a while back and dredging my memory there was some mention of more recent generations carrying on lampwork so that might also be worth a look?

I looked in the 1955 one and couldn't see her and the stands do look a bit different as well.
I'm not sure where to find Lauscha catalogues if they exist  :-\

It will be tricky as Lauscha is a town with dozens of lampworkers and not a single company working according to catalogues. Their subjects are many and various as are their styles - so you can never be certain unless you can attribute your piece to Bimini or Pirelli or something.

Bimini was my first thought. It looks like something they would have done.

link here to another thread on the GMB with figurines in.  They look a little different to yours - not so umm exact  ;D
there was a possible attribution on that thread to possibly Bimini (ball players) or Lauscha

and here is a link to a good description of Bimini figures and some pics.  I don't think yours is the same  :-\

Great legs, but those nipples look like they could blind a person at fifty yards... :chky:
