Kate Williams, glass artist, http://www.katewilliams.org.uk Wolverhampton University in 1993 with a B.A.Hons in glass design, now lives and works in London.
Her gallery here shows the sorts of things she creates: http://www.katewilliams.org.uk/gallery.htm - lampwork and combined with lighting.

Along with John Lloyd, she made models of nuclear power stations in uranium glass, I kid you not! Check this out:

I need one of those, but unfortunately K doesn't think the bank manager would agree and as I'm still waiting for my tall, dark handsome millionaire...

The power stations are fabulous and quite thought provoking.  I'll settle for just the spoons then  ;D  they are really pretty.

I want Douneray    - it's the Caithness connection with glass, doubly appropriate!
I still want a uranium troll with dreamcatchers like the girl from Edinburgh made, which we saw at the conference, Christine.
I thought it was another beautiful artistic statement - she had made them as a comment on the stupidity of taking designer drugs.
Cheers, Sue M. (she/her)
