That handle looks a lot like the one in this link, so maybe Welz?

Not repro. Lovely and old, and as Wayne says possibly Welz.

This one http://lustrousstone.co.uk/cpg/displayimage.php?pid=932 , this one http://lustrousstone.co.uk/cpg/displayimage.php?pid=781 and this one http://lustrousstone.co.uk/cpg/displayimage.php?pid=937 have similar handles

Further - I´ve seen this type of crimped rim on pieces, which have a known Welz
decor. The colour doesn´t look bad either...
Perhaps a new decor - stripes without spots?

Thanks all,the reason I wondered if it was repro' was the treatment to the base,we have a few baskets and this is the only one with a ground flat base but I'll be happy with Welz,ta ;D ;D

It was ground flat so they could sell it. Visually wonky was OK but the punters wouldn't want a basket that wouldn't mostly sit flat.
