In a strange way, I was also hoping that it was unsigned and thus more affordable!

Interesting point about signed pieces going to the American market, I don't know if this applied to some pieces exported to other countries. I know the signed bottle Danny Walker had came from Germany.

If you want a copy of that catalogue photo Gregg email me, you have one don't you Sue? I can not post it here - copyright and all that stuff.

800 :o , seems a lot but who knows these days?

After a while (year or so) some stuff for America was signed 'Mdina' - with a diamond point engraver not a dremmel.

I'll check the recesses of my pc, I do have a pic of pages with ink bottles on them. But I should have noticed if these "two tones" were there..
PS. Gregg is a cake shop. :P

I'm sort of resigned to these being around the £200 mark with a Said pawmark.
On the other hand, the Studio has some...... interesting (as in "eeeeeeeek!") prices on their Mdina archive pieces.

No worries John.   :) As it happens I have been known to frequent Greggs the cake shop on the odd occasion!

Do you have a full copy of the Dexam catalogue..? Just wondered how comprehensive it was..?

The photo I have is of one page that was reproduced in a glass book, it shows the shapes and colourways that were imported and available in America in 1972. Suzy sent it to me I think, not sure where she got it from or which book it was.

I've been digging. Very deep - found 3 pics in a sub-sub-album.
I'll send you them, Greg. When I can dig out your email address from the recesses of my in-box!
