Small green vase - ID = Caithness
« on: March 02, 2012, 04:58:36 PM »
Picked this up today, 11cm in height and 8.5cm at the base. It has the colour of some Scandinavian glass I have had. No mark to the base but some wear. Its quite heavy for a small vase 480g. Any clues accepted gratefully

Thanks John, I went through their site and struggled to find a shape to match this one. Found one eventually on ebay but no name.  Caithness isn't something I look for and there is a lot of it about (at inflated prices). The colour of this one sent me in the wrong direction so thanks for the answer.  Pete

It's a nice early one from the late 1970s and designed by Colon Terris, Braemore range, No. 4085 in Moss. Discontinued by 1981.

Thanks once again Lustrousstone and Glass obsessed. A Perfect answer. I much prefer this style of vase to the other CG  I have seen. Better feel about it. (obviously thats only my opinion) Thanks again

;D I figured that no one would call their son Colon, though lately I  have heard some ridiculous names given  ;D
