Festivo or Fake-stivo
« on: March 17, 2012, 10:34:52 AM »

(So glad GMB is back!)

Found these two 'Festivo' style candle sticks. Both differ from those found on the Iittala website. The bigger looks Ravenhead-like, the smaller I don't know. Slightly yellowish glass.

Images are profile, top view and base view.

Thanks for any help and comments on this question.

As thought. Any ideas who made them?

The one on the left looks quality (more on that later) and resembles some Davidson in texture, even Ravenhead and has a feel of the better Ravenhead stuff.

However, my doubts about the quality came about whilst using them. One exploded when a candle burnt right down into it.

The interesting thing about the bigger one is that it is made to take 2 types of candle. A candle stick and a ball candle. I'm sure this was a way to say to Iittala - we're not ripping you off, we're improving!
