« on: March 17, 2012, 03:02:30 PM »
Bought last week - Tapio Wirkkala Pinus vase in clear glass - Iittala - signed to base - Firts time I have bought one, is it dating from 70s or are they still manufactured - see the factory numbers in photo of signature.

Thanks Adam

Hi Adam. 3429 is "Avena", made in 16cm and 24cm heights in 1970-1989.

("Pinus" is 2784, a bit of a same kind of surface in his style but the shape is wider. And it was made in 1973-1999, so your Avena could be older and more rare! ;) )
