Picked up this cutie recently and unsure whether the etching on the base is actually a maker's mark.  anyone please?

It's the Caithness seconds mark. CIIG sometimes seen scratched as C2G

It is more curvy than my Caithness Seconds/reduced mark, they must have changed it at some point? (learning)
