Would like to know origins of face art mask/paperweight
« on: March 19, 2006, 12:33:59 AM »
Would love to know details, origins, history (?) of this face art mask/paperweight - if anyone should shed any light we would be most appreciative (go to links below to see images of item)

The back of the paperweight has a maker's name in "mirror image" but some of the letters are indecipherable/worn.  The 2nd link has a close up photo of this section.  It appears to start with "A & .....?" and the 2nd line appears to start with "DA ....?".

Can anyone help??  The item is obviously not "new" as it has had considerable wear to the underside.
It measures 15cm in height and 9cm in width.  It is approx 1.5cm thick apart from the nose section which is another 1cm high.
