Help needed with this large glass vase
« on: March 18, 2006, 06:52:22 PM »
HiYa....acquired a number of large free blown glass vases...some to sell and some that I will be keeping for myself. Have listed 3 on e-bay and posted a question as regards the 3 on the Murano glass forum. This one is one of 6 that I will be keeping for myself. Vase is large (measures in excess of 17,5 inches high (445mm high) and in perfect condition. has a pontil mark, and the artist's name on the base (Darrius Zarrin)....have searched the internet and not found any info on this artist. Can anyone shed some light .... more on the origin and about the artist, and insurance value.....Cheers...Helen

Sounds a distinctly East European name, are the words moulded or engraved?

Zarrin is an Iranian name, so we are getting warmer probably. Check it with a geiger counter
