There you go. I'll tell you exactly what the 6-oz for is later

A 5oz shot of whisky should fix the quivers. Don't try the 6 oz. You will end up wearing it.

One whisky and I will wear anything. :-X

No matter how I try my photos of the decanter and glasses just look brown, to the eye there is a purple tint to the colour but I am coming around to the idea that it is not heather.

Heather is a definite purple. But I do think the glasses are still Caithness, even if they're not Morven.

But I don't see the point of coloured whisky glasses.  :-\
(Unless you're only drinking a cheap blended one.)

The book has arrived and quickly. ;D

Looking on page 108 (where the 1972 catalogue gives the pattern number 4025 for the 6 fl oz glasses) there is a photograph from the '72 catalogue of a Morven decanter, a jug and six different glasses. Judging by the proportions I reckon the glass I have here is shown on the right of the top shelf.  On page 38 Mark Hill states that Morven was not made in Heather so this colour must be Peat (they were made in clear, Peat and Soot). The glasses match exactly.

Thanks all!

John
