Vaseline/Canary Vase - Help with attribution, please.
« on: March 20, 2006, 01:05:46 AM »
Hi All,

Sent this earlier but, for some reason, I don't think it got through.  Found this vase yesterday at a local estate auction.  The vaseline top goes into a swirled cranberry body and finally fades into a clear bottom.  Stands approx. 10" tall, 5 1/2" across the top from side to side, 3 1/2" front to back, and 3 1/4" across the widest part of the bulbous base.  Anybody care to take a shot at attribution?  Many thanks in advance.

I guess I will take a 'shot' at it.  my first impression was that it was most likely Bohemian, about 1880-1900.  Whether or not that proves out to be correct, I am not sure.  Just my 2c
