Orrefors Art Glass Department Closed?
« on: April 12, 2012, 11:15:55 PM »
I was at an exhibition and got talking to a lady who is a glass designer in Nuutäjarvi.  We chatted about art glasses in general and she mentioned to me that Orrefors had decided to close down its art glass department.  She was quite upset about this because she had trained there earlier in her career and got to know the people there.

Anyone else heard this or it this just a nasty rumor?

Have not heard that they have quit making art glass.
The art glass museum exhibition is closed though. For now just temporarily but who knows.
