Yes I always check out Pamela's site first...I had a piece by Walther with the Rosen pattern which is similar but the roses are different.

Been searching through the online catalogues and Pamela's webpages and I think this piece is very like the 'Adriadne' pieces by Brockwitz c.1931, anyone else have any ideas?

I have been looking through the pressglas-korrespondence web pages and think this vase may be pattern 1619 by Libochovice although in the drawing it looks shorter and fatter but the 1584 Dove vase looks short and fat too but all the ones I have seen are much taller and slimmer. So maybe.... ;)

Hi Angela,

Though the pattern on your vase is very similar, I'm not sure your vase is the Libochovice 1619.  If you go to the http://www.cs-sklo.cz/ website and look under 'sklarny (glassworks)' you will find a few Libochovice catalogues.  The 195? catalogue has the 1619 at 27cm.  The newer Libochovice Sklarny A.S. has the 1619 at 26cm.  Yours is under 20cm.  (It's interesting that both catalogue drawings have got different shapes... the earlier one seems to have a more flared top.)

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Anik

Jindrich's website is brilliant.  It's a goldmine of information! He's done a lot to promote Czech glass.  Just think how many man hours he's spent, finding magazines, catalogues and other documents, scanning them, making them available to us via his site, interviewing designers, visiting and photographing exhibitions... all while holding a regular job, and all for the sake of passion.  Amazing.
