From a distance i thought this was boring Chinese, but i picked it up and was very impressed by the petals
and the stamen of the flower, nice little frog on a leaf.  I'm not too hot on paperweights, but i can see the quality and workmanship in this one.
Its got a worn felt base , a couple of quite ordinary canes in the foliage at the base, my guess as an amateur in these things, is maybe Chinese of some reasonable age ???
Hopefully you clever chaps may help me out  ;)
Cheers

It is Chinese. Made for quite a few years now.

These appear with a variety of creatures included. The frogs are, in my opinion, the better of the lampworked critters. Their bees have very delicate and well made wings. Their butterflies are too "solid", and the "geese" (or whatever they are) seem almost comically tiny when flying over a lily flower!

The lizard/salamander ones are quite good too. Heart Foundation Shop, new goods, mid-'90s on. ;D
