Per Lutkin - Holmegaard Bowl
« on: April 17, 2012, 03:27:08 PM »
Lovely bowl just bought - signed Per Lutkin 1961 - Holmegaard - I now have a few of these biomorphic pieces by Lutkin - from my reference books he designed these shapes in the 50s, very forward thinking.

Thanks Adam

Lovely bowl Adam. I collect the ice blue ones - I just love the weight and feel of them.

I too really like Holmegaard glass - in particular Per Lutken(I have c. 50 items of his), but also Michael Bang.  Best reference site is of course http://www.HarderNet.dk run by Peter Harder(a GMB member) who has been given the Holmegaard/Kastrup picture and catalog files to put up on the site.  A great help when you can't seem to find the name of the piece you just found.

I personally love the "Greenland" colour and the darker blue.  I have not yet acquired an amethyst piece but they look stunning also.
