ID Please? Told this was Fratelli..
« on: April 23, 2012, 12:25:30 AM »
Hoping someone can ID this or tell me if it is genuine Murano, etc.  A friend gave it to me and it was her 84 year old mother's.  She believes it is Fratelli Toso.  I have no idea at all. I just think it is pretty!

Certainly looks like a Murano product - but if it was Czech it would be just as pretty, and have the same modest value!  Murano weights are neither rare nor particularly valuable.

Hi and welcome to the GMB,

I agree with Alan, it does look Murano to me too. The green translucent ground is common in Fratelli Toso's weights but I am no Murano expert. I am sure someone will look in soon to confirm (or not) this attribution.
