Whitefriars 9099 bowl without bubbles
« on: April 15, 2012, 01:58:47 PM »
I have what appears to be a 4 inch cased green version of a Whitefriars 9099 bowl, but I have never seen one of these without the bubbles. Would anyone know if they were made like this or has this been made by another company. Thanks

Is that the right shape for 9099? I can't see a flat base. Maybe the photo? But it all seems a bit round all round - if you know what I mean. I'm a total novice, mind!

It really isn't easy to tell the shape from photos - but could it be Flying Saucer by Riihimäen Lasi?

Not Holmegaard - the inner edges are not undercut on the Holmegaard pieces.  The colour would be pretty right for a Greenland piece.  I suspect it is a Murano piece - from where I have no idea.

It's cased too, by the look of it.
