Who do you recon?
It's HUUUUGE
Affecinatly refered to as "the face hugger" It is very organic in form, the amber ribbing is almost sparkly but doesn't look like any type of inclusion I have seen before, the effect is like a 'tiger eye' semi-precious stone.
Inside is a creamy colour.
Wouldn't want to meet it down a dark ally though!
Many thanks

Mod: Hi Lou. If you ever do stumble across this thread, you'll notice that the pictures have vanished since Tinypics is only ever temporary. If you happen to still have them on your hard drive, can you please post them to the board? Thanks.

Yes..........as in Alien

Is it just me? It is a bit scary!!

Love it though, when the light is just right through the bottom, it almost looks like it is on fire!
only cost £20! I would have happily paid more!

IMHO It's Murano, dating from the 60/70's.  Not sure you'll be able to pin it down to any particular manufacturer though, this style was very popular, as a search on Ebay will probably attest!

Personally, I've had this 'toffee' colour before, and also a rather fetching big green one, which I was able to wear comfortably as a helmet.
I am not a man

I did have a look around when I first got it but didn't find anything quite on this scale, it weighs 8lb!
I decided it was murano though, thanks for the input Max, I think that confirms it!
Have you noticed how much they tend to sell for? I am in the process of down-sizing collection, I might let it go, it's a beggar to store!
Cheers Lou**

P.S. I have pranced around with it on my head too!!
