Perthshire PP1
« on: May 04, 2012, 10:53:50 AM »
Hi Guys
Whilst waiting for some reference books to arrive I wonder if you could indulge me again, been to a table top sale this morning and picked up three weights. The first here is I think a Pertshire PP2 it's 2.5" diameter and has no P cane so am i right with Perthshire and pre 1978?

Hi Nick.  I suspect that Lustrousstone is correct.  Attached is a photo of an early PP1(without P cane) which apparently only differs from a PP2 by having the larger diameter.  You will note that there are two outer rings of pairs of millefiore canes between each of the rods - whereas you pwt only has a single ring.  Similarly the single millefiore cane between the rods occurs twice in mine but only once in yours.
