Thanks

There is a list of paperweight books on my website, but I do not know of any single book that is comprehensive and up to date (and free from errors...). You could do worse than get the little Miller's Guide to start with though - that only costs a few pounds.

For general info covering a good range of weights, and with good colour photos throughout, I recommend:
Paperweights
by Pat Reilly, 1994, ISBN 1-85076-521-9
Inexpensive copies can be found in various places places on the web.

Hi Nick
As it has been corrrectly pointed out, there is no one book that is a comprehensive guide to paperweights so I am afraid that you have to buy a few to cover whatever area you are particulalrly interested in. John Simmonds Book Paperweights of Great Britain is a good one as is Sybil Jargstorfs book Paperweights.
You see books regularly on Ebay and this might be a good place to pick up some at good prices

I have a comprehensive list of books on my website at
http://paperweights.com/books.htm
.
For modern weights with signatures and signature canes, I recommend Andy Dohan's book (print version and cd revised edition).
http://paperweights.com/bk_dohan1.htm
For older weights there is no single best book.
One of the best overall books on paperweights is Paul Dunlop's Dictionary of Glass Paperweights
