Monart cameo lamp base
« on: May 06, 2012, 08:25:42 PM »
This auction on ebay has just ended. Not the best example of cameo finish, other glass companies, like Daum and Galle did this type of decoration much better. None the less it is important piece of Monart.
The photo shown here is from Perth museum.

There was a complete lamp (with paper label "etched lamp") sold at Lyon & Turnbull in 2004 for £4,000 plus commission.
