A Couple Caithiness Small Vases....any more info ?
« on: May 09, 2012, 07:00:03 PM »
Hi, bought these.......................so I know they are Caithiness as they have their labels so   :P   and   ;D    LOL

Any one know the date of these?  They have like a funny, bumpy texture to them.  One is about 5.5 inches tall and the other one is about 4.25 inches tall.  Texture feels kinda plastic like or something?  So any dates or more info is greatly appreciated on these.

Thanks as always... :-*

bumpy texture to them

In that case Rose they are from the Allegro range and grew out of the Rondo range. One of the differences between the two is that Rondo had an extra clear casing on top. Allegro was made 1999 to 2004 and is credited to Jimmy Manson, John Ross and Colin Terris.

These posy vases were made in a variety of shapes and colours. Rondo included perfume bottles too.

Information from Caithness Glass by Mark Hill.

Thank you John for the Superb info!!  :-*

I have heard the name Colin Terris before.  Are these okay items then?  I paid like $20 for the 2 of them....?
