Czech vase - date verification
« on: May 19, 2012, 07:26:39 PM »
Nice Czech vase - not too sure of factory, maybe Chribska (Josef Hospodka) - the base has no wear and the label is near perfect - so what is the date?

Thanks Adam

Hi Adam,

According to the information Jindrich provides on the 'Ceskoslovenske Sklo' DVD database, your vase is Chribska, designed by Josef Hospodka in 1960 and produced up until 2005. A catalogue picture can be found here.

The label suggests your piece was made in the 80s to early 90s.  In 1993 "Czechoslovakia" was no more.

Anik
